Somerset dragons

Wasn't sure which forum this thread should go on, but here seems as good a place as any - well the flag has a dragon on it, after all!

I found this website full of dragon legends, and Somerset seems to have more than its fair share. Check it out at http://www.wyrm.org.uk/ukdracs/index.html

odd, I was talk to Ed about dragos just the other day. we were discussing wyvers, and somebody said the earliest herldic wyvern was Somersets. Mid you I am not sure o the differece between a dragon and a wyvern, though I think wyverns have two legs?

BTW thank you! Those are wonderful, ad as Ed and I spend much of our time playing or in my case wrioting for the 13th cetury rpg Ars Magica they may well come to be used i our future games! Smile I'd like to see more Somerset Folklore on the site.

Spot on. In heraldry, a dragon has 4 legs, a wyvern 2 and a wyrm none.
